The County of Brant is replacing the scale house at the Biggars Lane Landfill, which has reached the end of its service life. To safely complete this work, the landfill will be temporarily closed to all traffic.
At its meeting on July 28, 2026, County of Brant Council approved the Official Plan Amendment (By-law 83-26) and Community Planning Permit By-law (By-law 84-26), marking a major milestone in the Community Planning Permit System (CPPS) project.
Please be advised that Kitchen School Road, between German School Road and Governor's Road East, will be closed at various times from Tuesday, August 4 to Friday, August 7, 2026, for culvert replacement work.

Residents are advised that overnight construction work is scheduled to take place on Dundas Street East at the Curtis Avenue intersection beginning Thursday, July 30 at 10:00 pm and continuing into the morning of Friday, July 31.
