Brant Transit is not a specialized or paratransit service
Brant Transit is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. However, it is important to note that specialized or paratransit services may be necessary for some riders. Specialized or paratransit services are designed specifically for individuals who are unable to use public transit due to a disability. These services are more personalized and flexible to accommodate the specific needs of passengers with disabilities. These services also require a registration and approval process prior to being able to access this service.
Brant Transit is not a Taxi or Uber
The difference between Brant Transit and taxis or Ubers is that your ride may be shared, and you may not be driven directly, non-stop to your requested location. Just like a public bus, there may be additional pickups or drop-offs along the way, and you may be in the vehicle for up to an hour. Please plan your ride accordingly. If you are going to an appointment, be sure to give yourself the extra time based on the details provided when booking your ride.
Brant Transit does not provide specific pick-up and drop off times
When booking a ride, you will be provided with a pick-up window. The driver may arrive anytime during that window, and you will receive a ride notification reminder via your preferred method of communication. Depending on if you chose the arrive by or depart at option, you may still spend up to an hour in the vehicle. You are not required to accept the proposal that is provided to you. Please review the ride option details carefully before booking.
Your requested ride time may not be available
If the time you are requesting isn’t available, you will be provided with alternative times. You are not required to accept the proposal that is provided to you. Please review ride options before booking. There may be days and times that rides are not available. If this is the case, you will need to find alternate transportation.
Brant Transit drivers do not provide mobility or payment support
Brant Transit drivers do not provide mobility or payment support to riders. If you require assistance getting to and from the vehicle, or assistance in handling money or a punch card to pay for your ride, it is encouraged that you travel with a support person (free of charge).
Please follow the rules of the road
Riders are required to follow the rules of the road when using Brant Transit. Always remaining seated and wearing a seat belt while the vehicle is in motion are examples.
